After 17 years working with young children as a Therapeutic Behavior Specialist and elementary classroom teacher, one pattern became impossible to ignore: children were becoming overstimulated, overwhelmed, and increasingly dependent on screens for entertainment.

Screens aren’t “bad,” but they often deliver fast-paced stimulation that makes it harder for young kids to focus, self-regulate, and engage in meaningful play. What children needed wasn’t more digital entertainment; they needed a calming, hands-on activity that supported real developmental growth.
